Verbs describe actions, states or processes.
He KILLED a rat(action)
He LOOKS weak(state)
She BECAME the rector(process)
Verbs are classified into auxiliary and main verbs. Verbs that help other verbs to express their full meanings are called auxiliary verbs. Auxiliary verbs have four main functions known as the NICE property of the auxiliary verbs.
